Last year’s awards supported Birmingham Children’s Hospital with vital sensory equipment to support children undergoing surgery.

This year, the Midlands property industry showed their generosity once again raising substantial funds for much needed wheelchairs for children in the Midlands.

Donations were inspired by 12 year old George Tappenden, who delivered a moving speech about the life changing impact of receiving an electric wheelchair from Variety. He proudly showcased his Variety Ambassador Award during the event.

Awards on the evening included Building of the Year for Cadence Projects, Industrial Deal of the Year for Stoford Developments and The Rising Star Award for Maria Jurado-Wiseman of Howells.

Stoford Developments received a second Award with Office Deal of the Year Award. CBRE was recognised for the Investment Deal of the Year after securing the sale of the Lovely Pub Group and Moda Group won the Residential Developer of the Year. The Law Firm of the Year was awarded to Gowling WLG Real Estate and The ESG Award was given to Cadence Projects.

Reflecting on a successful evening, Lyn Staunton, Variety Development Director said: “This year’s Midlands PROPS Awards was a celebration of the Midlands property industry, whilst recognising the generosity and spirit shown by the Midlands property community which is nothing short of inspiring.

“The Midlands PROPS Awards is about supporting children who face challenges in their everyday life. The funds raised will go a long way in helping to create opportunities and brighter futures for so many young lives.

“We were so impressed by the standard of entries, each one a testament to the creativity, resilience and excellence across the property sector. It has been a privilege to honour this year’s winners and to shine a light on the brilliant work being done across the region.”
