The attendees included the incoming Mayor (and current Deputy Mayor), Louise Harrison; the Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands, Simon Foster; friends, colleagues and members of the local community. A fun and interactive quiz was held for the guests with prizes for those paying close attention during the presentation given by the Imam.

One of the hosts commented: "It is always great to see people coming together in Ramadan. For Muslims it is a month of blessings. It provides us with an opportunity to draw closer to God and earn his love. We were delighted that we could share this evening with our guests and share our sentiments of love of our faith."

On hearing the Adhaan, the Islamic call to prayer, those in attendance opened their fasts and were provided with an opportunity to see how Muslims prayed. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the hosts and guests alike.
