This month marked a landmark moment for the local community as the first four apartments at the former Warrener’s Arms site on Ogley Road were officially handed over to whg.

The Warrener’s Arms closed its doors over 20 years ago, followed by McDonald’s 17 years ago, leaving the site abandoned. Local residents have waited years to see progress, with hopes for regeneration finally becoming reality.

The remaining 41 homes are set to be completed and handed over later this month, delivering on promises to transform neglected brownfield land into high-quality housing for the area.

Matt Vale, whg’s Assistant Director of Construction and Quality, said: “We know how much local people have waited to see this site regenerated, and we’re proud to finally deliver high quality, affordable homes that breathe fresh purpose into this area of Brownhills.”
