Inspired by the breathtaking Dutch tulip fields, the farm’s Tulip Festival, brand new for 2025, will allow visitors to immerse themselves in a sea of colour and capture memories to last a lifetime.
With over 50,000 tulip bulbs of 20 different varieties planted over autumn and winter, the event promises a stunning display with a range of photo opportunities ranging from cute to sculptural. Farmer Richard Bower says: “While our PLAY@ farm attraction is geared specifically towards families, our October PYO Pumpkins event – featuring Staffordshire’s biggest pumpkin patch – is hugely popular with visitors of all ages. We’re keen to meet demand for this kind of event at other times of the year; offering a great day out for everyone from young couples looking for a romantic date; groups of friends keen to fill their social feeds with stunning images, and those who’d just enjoy a stroll in the fresh air admiring the blooms.”
This year, families visiting the farm’s PLAY@ attraction will enjoy the tulip fields as part of their PLAY@ ticket on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays on selected dates during April.
The fields will also be open to general visitors on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the growing season (currently 1 April, 3 April, 8, 9 & 10 April, 29, 20 April and 1 May).
Delicious refreshments will be available from the farm’s Honeypots Café and visitors will also be able to meet friendly animals – including getting a peek inside the lambing barn – and see a collection of vintage tractors.
