Staffordshire club welcome new president
The Mid Staffs Charters Club has a new President. Aaron Chetwynd is taking over from retired town planner David Collier.

Mr Chetwynd was elected at the club’s annual general meeting on March 20. An architect, My Chetwynd is a partner at Aaron Chetwynd Architect Studio, based at Ingestre near Stafford.
Aaron Chetwynd said: “I am pleased and proud to be able to serve the club as its President. I intend to use my extensive network of local contacts to increase engagement and ensure that more people have the opportunity to benefit from Club membership”.
Outgoing President David Collier, commenting after the meeting, said he was sure that Mr Chetwynd would be well-equipped to take the club forward and continue his work on modernisation and paving the way for an increase in membership.
The Mid Staffs Charters Club was originally for members of Chartered Institutions involved in the development of land, and has existed for over 70 years. Its first meeting was in 1950 at the Swan Hotel in Stafford.
More recently the Club has welcomed members from a range of occupations and retirees who enjoy good company, good food and interesting speakers, whose subjects cover professional, recreational and local interests.
