Unusually for an Anglican church, the church is built onto the side of Rosedale Primary School, so lies within the school grounds. About 80 people attended, some of whom had travelled quite a distance to be with us.

The event began with a service of celebration and thanksgiving, with an address given by the very first vicar, Reverend Ian Murray. Ian was known as the Rockin’ Rev as he led worship by playing an electric guitar, slung over his vestments.

Most of our former vicars were able to attend along with two other people who came to faith in the early days of Furzebank Worship Centre and who are now vicars themselves. Seven of them are seen in the photo.

The service was followed by a buffet and a chance to catch up and reminisce with people we hadn’t seen for quite some time. After the celebration it's back to work, serving the people locally, strengthening working relationships with the school community and beyond, inviting people to join us on our faith journey.
