Dudley project consultancy appointed to deliver government funded decarbonisation works

The calendar year of 2024 saw Kinver Solutions appointed onto several public sector compliant frameworks. They have just been appointed via the YPO Framework by Ashfield District Council to complete the roles of Project Managers, Contract Administrators and Cost Consultants to two decarbonisation schemes that the Council has received government funding for. Inclusive of the government funding the overall project is valued at over £4m and will see 423 tons of carbon dioxide removed annually from the Council’s operation.

Works will be completed to the Hucknall Leisure Centre which will see the old gas boilers replaced with modern efficient Air Source Heat Pumps. The Council’s head office in Kirkby-In-Ashfield will also receive Air Source Heat Pumps with both schemes drastically reducing the levels of carbon dioxide that the Council produces.

Not only will the new installations aide the council in its long-term aspirations of achieving net zero emissions, they will also ensure that the buildings run more efficiently enabling the Council to prioritise its funding towards front line services that matter to the electorate.

Appointed to oversee the works onsite and through to operation, Kinver Solutions will oversee the successful construction phase of the project having already been involved in the design and procurement elements of the contract. Additionally, Kinver Solutions will liaise with end users and ensure that the new technology is explained to operational teams for efficient long-term use into the future.

The YPO Framework is a compliant route to market for the public sector following the Procurement Act 2023 coming into force during February of this year. Kinver Solutions’ focus on framework access is the latest strategic achievement which enables them to work with the public sector in a more efficient way removing unnecessary bureaucracy whilst delivering transparent and effective services.
