Staffordshire marketing agency triumphs at creative awards
On Sunday, 8 March, the Midlands’ creative scene was alive with celebration and culture as the inaugural We Are Creative Awards took centre stage at Birmingham’s Eastside Rooms. The We Are Creative Awards, a brand-new initiative, aims to celebrate creative talent in the Midlands, and it proved to be a resounding success. It captured the vibrant energy and innovation that define the region’s creative industries and the people working within them.

Harrison Carloss was delighted to earn the coveted Best Branding or Identity Design of the Year award for their rebrand of West Midlands Safari Park in early 2024.

The award recognised the agency’s exceptional ability to craft a fun and impactful rebrand for West Midlands Safari Park.

The rebranding project was a significant undertaking, breathing new life into a cherished institution with over 50 years of heritage behind it. Harrison Carloss successfully captured the park’s adventurous spirit with a focus on creating wild memories.

Backed by their meticulous research, Harrison Carloss also advised a subtle name change from West Midland Safari & Leisure Park to West Midlands Safari Park to make the brand more memorable and discoverable.
The rebrand included a new iconic logo, typeface, strapline, colour palette and full brand guidelines that were rolled out by the team at West Midlands Safari Park.
Hosted by the charismatic PJ Ellis, the We Are Creative Awards were filled with anticipation and excitement. From the electrifying opening by Hit the Dhol to the powerful spoken word performance by Sipho Eric Ndlovu, the night was a testament to the transformative power of creativity. A particularly moving moment came with the keynote speech from journalist and TV presenter Marverine Cole, who not only emphasised the importance of recognising creative talent but also shared her personal journey, resonating deeply with the audience on International Women’s Day.
The We Are Creative Awards has undoubtedly set a high bar for celebrating the creative talent within the Midlands.
