Around 500 visitors viewed the three-day exhibition put on by the Lighthouse Federation of Schools. It was second time that the education group which runs nine of the borough's schools has hosted a display at the attraction in Gallery Square.

This year’s exhibition was held to mark World Book Day with artwork reflecting the children’s interpretations of the importance of books in their lives.

The displays showcased the children's creativity in various styles including sketches, collages, crafts, paper plate art, watercolours, painting plus 3D box creations.

The work representing all their favourite storybook characters and the imaginary destinations that they experience through reading and listening to tales.
