A film fanatic from Dudley has taken his love for the big screen to the next level, visiting his local cinema an incredible 224 times last year.
Showcase Cinemas has recognised 20-year-old Jack Durber as one of the UK’s most dedicated film fans. Among his many visits, one film stood out above the rest - Wonka - which he saw a staggering 29 times.
The young cinephile has been hooked on films since his very first trip to Showcase Cinemas aged 13. Since then, his love for films has only grown, with Jack saying that Showcase Dudley has become his second home.
Whether he’s settling into his favourite seat or chatting with staff, his passion for the big screen is clear to everyone who meets him.
Jack said: “I love it all - the seats, the food, the big screens – but most of all, the people. The team have always looked after me and my mum and I just love chatting with everyone there.”
Jack’s love for films has not gone unnoticed by the Showcase Dudley team, who have watched him become a familiar face over the years.
To celebrate his commitment to the big screen, Showcase Cinemas gifted Jack an exclusive private screening of his choice, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which he enjoyed from his favourite spot - second row, middle seat, with a sweet pouch in hand.
Jack continues: “I was surprised to discover I visit more than anyone else, and my private screening was an amazing experience. I absolutely loved the film! I am already looking forward to my next cinema visit, and this year I’m most excited to see Snow White and The Penguin Lessons.”
