Men aged 40 and over are encouraged to attend and take advantage of a subsidised PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood test for just £10, thanks to funding from Sandwell Lions Club. The test is a simple blood test but is an effective way to help detect early signs of prostate cancer.
Pre-booking is essential to ensure smooth operation and availability of tests. Interested individuals can secure their spot by registering in advance.
Lion President Dan Letchford emphasised the importance of early detection, stating: “Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers among men, but early detection can save lives. By providing these tests at an affordable cost, we hope to encourage more men to take proactive steps for their health. We urge everyone eligible to book their test and make their health a priority.”
