It will draw the attention of the business community to the existence of this rich but largely untapped pool of skilled personnel, all of whom are eager to find employment, self-employment or volunteering opportunities.

In collaboration with Lichfield Garrick theatre, City of Sanctuary is inviting all members of our community who have been displaced from their native homes, or who may face discrimination or exclusion as a result of racism, poverty, abuse, sexuality, disability or violence, to join us in celebrating their skills and life experiences. Stalls will display and offer for sale, crafts, goods and services, including jewellery, wood carving, ornaments, tailoring, books, paintings, photographs, food, language classes, and volunteer recruitment opportunities.

There will also be activities and performances throughout the day, many of which will take place on the main stage, including the LDCoS-funded Ukranian choir, dramatic performances, multi-lingual story-telling, artists at work, advice from experts and professionals, and so much more!

Members of the public, representatives of local businesses, professional organisations, community services and local council members are invited to visit, to share in, and to benefit from the gift of cultural diversity.

If you would like to offer your assistance at this exciting event, host a stall or present an activity or demonstration - or if you would simply like to learn more, please contact secretary@lichfield.cityofsanctuary.org or admin@lichfield.cityofsanctuary.org.
