National housebuilder Miller Homes is to deliver 145 homes at its Astley Croft development on land between Areley Common and Redstone Lane, the first of which will be released for sale on Saturday, 15 March.

The housing firm is inviting people to visit their on-site sales office from that date, to learn more about the homes available for purchase, with the first homes set to be ready for occupation this summer.

Construction work began on the site earlier this year and is expected to be completed within the next three years.

Miller Homes will provide 58 affordable properties at its Astley Croft scheme, 15 of which will be marketed and sold under the government-backed First Homes scheme, part of an ambition to enable would-be first-time homeowners to make their first step onto the property ladder.

The remaining 87 homes will be sold privately by the housebuilder, comprising a mix of two, three and four-bedroom houses, plus two different designs of bungalow.

Carl Cooke, sales director of Miller Homes West Midlands, said: “We are all eagerly anticipating the launch of our first homes at Astley Croft which will be the culmination of the hard work contributed by all our team to reach this point.

“We open our doors for the first time to prospective customers on Saturday, 15 March and would expect strong demand to follow as we look to meet the need for new housing in this part of Worcestershire.

“A range of homes, and prices, will be released on the day, so we’d encourage anyone interested to register with us via the Miller Homes website to receive the latest updates on the site itself. We’re really looking forward to meeting our first customers in March and helping them make a move into an energy efficient new build home.”

Miller Homes will also assist the existing green space around its development with the addition of two pond areas, a locally equipped area of play for children, and a multi-use games area all within the land previously acquired by the housebuilder, as part of its wider plans for the site.
