The Staffordshire Green Supplier Directory is available for companies and individuals across the county who supply low carbon green technologies, products or services.
Developed under the Staffordshire Green Skills for Growth programme, a partnership between Staffordshire County Council, Keele University and Innovate UK, the directory is hosted by Staffordshire Business and Environment Network (sben).
Simon Tagg, Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Infrastructure, and Climate Change, said: “The Staffordshire Green Supplier Directory is an exciting development.
“We want to see any business in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent that installs or supplies low carbon technologies, or offers green solutions and products, sign-up and take their profile to the next level.
“Registration is free and the categories for inclusion are continuously growing, so people can find solutions with pinpoint accuracy to meet their needs.
“Any Staffordshire or Stoke-on-Trent business with a postal address in the county can be part of the directory if they are a green supplier.”
Emily Pollard, Director from Star Solar Power Ltd, who are listed on the directory, added: “We are thrilled to be part of the Green Supplier’s Directory as it has increased our visibility and connected us with a strong network of customers and like-minded businesses passionate about renewable energy.
“It’s an honour to be listed alongside other great installers who share our commitment to sustainability. We highly recommend other green suppliers take advantage of this fantastic free service.”
As well as signing up to the Staffordshire Green Supplier Directory, businesses can also register for free membership of sben. The membership organisation, which is supported by Steelite and Michelin, provides a network across the county with the knowledge and know-how to help businesses improve their competitiveness, profitability and environmental performance.
sben is delivering a series of workshops under the Staffordshire Green Skills for Growth programme, each with a focus on improving soft skills linked to the green economy.
On March 13, the workshop will focus on how to promote sustainability in the workplace, through improving effective communication and leadership skills.
