Lord Johnson visits Staffordshire school to engage with students and leadership

Chase Grammar School in Cannock had the honour of welcoming Lord Johnson for an insightful visit, engaging with students and the Senior Leadership Team to learn more about the school’s offerings and initiatives.

Upon arrival, Lord Johnson was warmly received by the Principal, Moira Simpson, and the Senior Leadership Team, where they discussed the school’s commitment to academic excellence, student development, and the broader educational landscape.

One of the highlights of the visit was a presentation by the school’s distinguished Scholarship group. The students showcased their achievements and aspirations, demonstrating the intellectual curiosity and ambition fostered at Chase Grammar. This was followed by a dynamic question-and-answer session, where students had the opportunity to engage directly with Lord Johnson, gaining valuable insights from his experience and perspectives.

Following these discussions, Lord Johnson delivered an inspiring presentation to the school’s student leaders, reinforcing the importance of leadership, ambition, and service in today’s educational environment.

The visit continued with a guided tour of the school led by the Head Girl and Head Boys, who provided an in-depth look at the vibrant learning environment and state-of-the-art facilities that support student success. The tour concluded with a visit to Chase Grammar’s outstanding boarding facilities, where Lord Johnson experienced first-hand the welcoming and enriching residential environment that the school offers to its students.
