Most recently, the housebuilder hosted pupils from Blanford Mere Primary School, giving them the opportunity to explore a building site and learn firsthand about key health and safety practices.
Keepmoat’s Stalling’s Place development features a range of two, three, and four-bedroom homes designed for first-time buyers and commuters. Located in Kingswinford, the development incorporates features such as PV solar panels, EV charging points, and advanced insulation to support energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprints.
During the visit, the youngsters donned full PPC, including high-visibility vests and hard hats to enjoy a guided tour of the sales arena by the Keepmoat team, providing insights into the construction process and the importance of site safety throughout.
Kerry Crook, Head Teacher at Blanford Primary School, commented: “This visit not only helped our pupils understand the importance of safety on building sites, but it also offered them a unique opportunity to explore a new development in our local community. The children were thrilled to receive their own safety gear, which sparked their curiosity about the world of building and construction.
“Visiting Stalling’s Place has been a wonderful opportunity to inspire young minds and expose them to the many career possibilities that exist. ”
This hands-on experience was part of Keepmoat’s dedication to inspiring the next generation and demonstrated the housebuilder's commitment to the local community through educational outreach, helping young people connect with the industry in a fun, informative, and safe way.
Emma Urie, Head of Sales at Keepmoat West Midlands, added: “It was a pleasure to have hosted Blanford Primary School at our Stalling’s Place development and to have provided the students with a fun, interactive learning experience.
At Keepmoat, we’re committed to inspiring the next generation and helping young people understand the importance of construction, health and safety, and the role the built environment plays in their communities. We hope this visit not only gave the students valuable insights into the industry but also sparked their imaginations and introduced them to the exciting career possibilities within the construction sector.”
