New retirement village opens its doors at official grand opening
A new luxury retirement village has been officially opened in Great Wyrley near Walsall by local Councillor Kathleen Perry MBE.
On Thursday, January 23, Wyrley Court welcomed residents, local dignitaries, and members of the community alongside Cllr. Perry MBE, to celebrate the launch of the brand new development for the over-55s.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Cllr. Perry shared her thoughts on the development, saying: “Wyrley Court is very impressive - it is a truly beautiful place and I hope those who live here enjoy every moment and feel at home.”
During the opening event of the new retirement village, developed by Macc Retirement, guests were treated to guided tours of the beautifully designed one- and two-bedroom apartments. Attendees also explored the development’s outstanding amenities, including a bistro and landscaped gardens, which form part of the innovative close-care community model designed to balance independence and support.
