Dedicated volunteers to brave the freeze in open water swim for 'furry friends in need'
On 16 February Animal Rescue Volunteers Louise Shenton and Gail Dempsey will be braving the cold for a sponsored open water swim at Pillaton Lake in Penkridge, all to support local small animal rescues close to their hearts. No wetsuits will be harmed, swimming costumes only!

Gail and Louise are dedicated volunteers for Animal Rescue Volunteers, which relies entirely on the kindness and generosity of the communities in Lichfield, Tamworth, Shenstone and Rugeley for funds to support local animal rescues.
Louise said: "Come on, dig deep, and help us freeze our bits off to help those furry friends who are in need!"
