Supporting mental health for 50 years, North Staffordshire Mind is a charity that fights to improve mental wellbeing across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. Through hosting support groups, educational school programmes and mental health training, North Staffordshire Mind is able to reach over 12,000 people each year.

The HEX Group has hosted many fundraising activities for North Staffordshire Mind, which have included a family and friends festival called HEXFEST, an 80s themed evening for colleagues, and a charity golf day for customers and supply partners at the JCB Golf and Country Club, which alone raised over £7,000.

Family-run, The HEX Group is a business committed to creating a collaborative work environment which attracts dedicated individuals devoted to purpose. Every two years, colleagues propose charities for the upcoming charity partnership and three are shortlisted for a final vote. This inclusive process empowers colleagues and encourages participation in fundraising efforts for the chosen charity.

The HEX Group People & Culture Director Karen Barnacle commented: “As we celebrate another year of charitable contribution, we want to reflect on how far we have come as a business. We are extremely proud of all our colleagues’ efforts made to raise funds for our chosen charity, North Staffordshire Mind. And we are proud to say we are making a difference in our region by raising more than £15K.

“A huge thank you goes out to all our colleagues, customers and supply partners who have supported the cause and whose generosity has not gone unnoticed. We look forward to the two coming years supporting another local charity, chosen by everyone at The HEX Group.”

Kate Boundy, Chief Executive of North Staffs Mind comments on The HEX Group’s charitable contribution: “We want to share our appreciation of The HEX Group and their awesome fundraising efforts over the past two years. It has been an incredible opportunity to work alongside them, and we have really enjoyed getting to know their amazing team. We will be forever grateful for the significant support we received which has allowed us to continue making a positive difference in the local area.”

The HEX Group is excited to announce its new charitable partnership with A Child of Mine, a local charity based in Stafford, supporting bereaved parents and their families. The charitable organisation provides guidance, aid and support after the death of a child. A Child of Mine has a mission to develop and deliver more direct services to grieving families across the UK, offering practical and emotional resources they may need.

Founder & CEO of A Child of Mine Gayle Routledge commented: “We’re extremely excited to work alongside The HEX Group, it’s clear they share our charitable mission and vision. We look forward to the next two years, working in partnership in all their fundraising efforts. Together we can make a difference.”
