Flying high: Eagle House goes for gold again at tourism awards!
Eagle House Eccleshall, a boutique guest house celebrated for its charm, hospitality, and commitment to sustainability, has been named a finalist once more in three prestigious categories at the 2025 Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards.
The awards, run by the local tourist board Visit Staffordshire, celebrate the very best in regional hospitality and tourism. Eagle House Eccleshall is competing in the following categories:
- Small Serviced Accommodation of the Year, recognizing establishments with up to 35 bedrooms.
- Self Catering Accommodation of the Year, for The Eagle’s Nest, their luxurious one-bedroom self-catering apartment.
- Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Award, highlighting their ongoing dedication to eco-friendly and community-focused practices.
This recognition builds on their success at last year’s awards, where they won Gold in the Best Bed and Breakfast/Guest House category, and Bronze in both the Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable category and the Self-Catering Accommodation category.
Andy and Helen, husband and wife team of Eagle House Eccleshall, are overjoyed to be finalists in these highly competitive categories. "We are absolutely thrilled to once again be recognised at the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards," said Helen. "It’s a true testament to the hard work and passion we pour into making Eagle House a haven for our guests. We wish all the other finalists the best of luck and look forward to celebrating the incredible talent in our region on awards night."
Raising the Bar in 2024
2024 has been an exciting chapter for Eagle House. They’ve enhanced their guest experience by naming each room after historical figures who previously lived in the house, celebrating the property’s rich heritage. Helen and Andy have also taken significant steps to reduce their carbon footprint, investing heavily in secondary glazing to improve energy efficiency.
Additionally, Eagle House continues to support the local community, offering their space free of charge to groups such as the Eccleshall Chess Club and Eccleshall Crochet Group. These efforts align with their ethos of sustainability and community engagement.
Their commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences remains unwavering. From delicious, locally sourced breakfasts to beautifully designed rooms and thoughtful touches throughout the property, Eagle House Eccleshall continues to set a benchmark for small, independent accommodation providers.
Looking Ahead
The winners of the 2025 Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Tourism Awards will be announced at a glittering ceremony on 20th March at DoubleTree by Hilton in Stoke on Trent. Andy added: "The competition is tougher than ever, especially with the merger this year of the Bed and Breakfast/Guest House category (under 10 rooms) into the Small Hotel category (under 35 rooms). For a small, relatively new business, with just three B&B rooms like ours, to be named a finalist is an incredible achievement. We can’t wait to celebrate alongside the other amazing finalists."
