Walsall charity seeking brave 'soles' - have you got what it takes?
Walsall & District Samaritans is running its first ever ‘Evening of Fire and Ice’ on Sunday, 9 March.
The event will be hosted by UK Firewalk, one of the UK’s leading firewalking companies. The walkers will be trained by Scott Bell - twice Guinness World Record holder for the greatest distance walked on fire - and then walk hot coals with a temperature over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit!
In the Ice Walk, participants get to stroll across hundreds of broken glass bottles…. in bare feet!
Our daredevils can choose to do either one, or both of the challenges, with all the money raised going toward Walsall & District Samaritans.
Deputy Director for Fundraising, Sharon Dicken, said: “This is a great opportunity for our local community to help raise money for our valuable service and tick something off their bucket list at the same time. We hope to secure the future of our branch to serve Walsall & District for another 55 years.”
The event takes place at Streetly Sports Club, Foley Road West (B74 3HR) and participants must be over 11 years of age to take part.
