Stourbridge hospice receives early Christmas gift
When Dreamland Bedding Centre heard that The Mary Stevens Hospice wanted to expand their Bereavement Services, they decided to step in and help.
Mike Brown and the team based in Moor Street, Brierley Hill, have funded the renovation of an unused building at the Hagley Road Hospice with a generous £10,000 donation. The self-contained unit will support local people through grief with the inclusion of two adult bereavement therapy rooms and one space dedicated for child therapy and support. The building will also contain office space and a breakout area for staff and volunteers, who the hospice relies on to help them continue their work.
Kerrie Jones, Bereavement Services Lead said: “We are so grateful to the team at Dreamland and are looking forward to being able to reach more people from our community as our services grow. The need for a space where we can compassionately support others has been made possible because of the generosity and kindness of a great local business who share our values.”
The Hospice’s bereavement services have grown significantly over the past four years. Should you wish to contact them for advice or support, please email pafss@marystevenshospice.co.uk.
