Lichfield school receives positive Ofsted inspection outcome
Shenstone Lodge School, part of the Manor Hall Academy Trust, has successfully maintained the ‘good’ standards identified at its previous inspection, according to the latest Ofsted report, following a visit on 5-6 November.
The school, led by Executive Headteacher Neil Toplass, offers a safe, supportive environment where pupils, with social, emotional, and mental health needs, thrive.
Inspectors noted that the curriculum is broad, with a strong emphasis on mathematics, English and that “the work of the school beyond the subject curriculum is impressive. There is a relentless drive to offer pupils an array of purposeful cultural, creative and sporting opportunities”.
Staff and student relationships were identified as a key strength of the school, ensuring pupils feel valued and ready to learn.
The school was also praised for the way it’s teachers sensitively adapt lessons to take account of pupils needs and that skilled staff manage behaviour well.
The Executive Headteacher was delighted with the report stating that "the report was a good reflection of the school" which is situated on two sites, and that he was "immensely proud of the staff team who make Shenstone Lodge a fantastic place to work and for pupils to learn".
