Hospice calls on community to pull on their best festive knit for Jolly Jumper Day!
St Giles Hospice is inviting local people to dig out their winter woollies from the back of the wardrobe and get involved with one of its festive fundraisers, Jolly Jumper Day.
Jolly Jumper Day is set to take place on Thursday, 12 December - the annual event sees local people, businesses and schools raise vital funds for St Giles whilst donning their favourite Christmas jumper. A number of local businesses have already signed up to take part in the festive fundraiser, including; Aston Wood Business Club, Tippers and Lichfield Architects.
Chloe Hope, Head of Fundraising at St Giles Hospice, said: “It’s wonderful to see our communities come together to support St Giles Hospice. Jolly Jumper Day is fantastic fun and is the perfect event to get you in the festive mood!
“It costs around £10 million to deliver the care we provide each year. With hospices across the UK facing a collective funding deficit of £77 million, funds raised from initiatives like Jolly Jumper Day are more vital than ever.
“If you’re thinking about buying a new jumper this year, why not shop sustainably and have a look in one of our 22 St Giles Hospice shops to see what we have on offer.”
To take part, get together with friends, family, colleagues or classmates, throw on your favourite jumper on Thursday, 12 December, and make a suggested donation of £3 per person to St Giles Hospice.
