The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, 20 November in Parliament, where the recipients were invited to the event in London to receive their award.

Momma Sorrentis, located on Long Knowle Lane, serves Italian-style home cooked food to local residents as well as external catering for events. Sureena Brackenridge said: “The second I saw the awards, I knew I had to nominate Momma Sorrentis, also known as Lorraine, to be considered.

“I’ve had many delicious meals and coffee in her shop in Fallings Park, and it is an absolute treasure. Lorraine has put so much effort into the businesses, and she is well deserving of the title of Canoli Queen of Wolverhampton.”

“Across Wolverhampton North East, there are so many inspiring female entrepreneurs, and it is fantastic for one of them to be recognised at this national event. I know it meant so much for Lorraine to be nominated, showing the power of these awards to inspire the next generation of female-led businesses.” added Mrs Brackenridge.
