Wombourne salon triumphs at national awards

Fierce Hairdressing has been crowned Best Salon of the Year 2024 and Most Sustainable Salon of the Year 2024 at the prestigious Salon Awards 2024.

Owner and founder Tammy Mallett and her talented team were recognised by the judges for their exceptional skills and dedication, solidifying their reputation as one of the best salons in the region.

With over 22 years of experience, Tammy opened Fierce Hairdressing in 2016. Her inspiring journey from apprentice to award-winning salon owner is one of passion and fierce determination. Tammy began her career at just 14 years old as a Saturday girl and honed her skills through an apprenticeship at Royston Blythe in 2002. During the challenges of the pandemic, Tammy’s resilience shone through as she adapted by operating the salon from home. This dedication not only maintained her strong client relationships but also fuelled the salon’s growth post pandemic.

Tammy expressed her excitement, saying: “Winning these two awards fills me with pride, it’s a dream come true! Not just for me and my salon, this incredible achievement is testament to my amazing team and, of course, our wonderful clients who make every day at the salon so special.”

The Salon Awards, founded by Kate Jeffery, celebrates outstanding talent and industry excellence. The 2024 awards ceremony showcased the accomplishments of top salons and stylists from across the country, and this year was held at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester and was hosted by Sophia Hilton with headline sponsorship from Revlon Professional.
