Floral art demonstration with a festive theme at flower club
Stafford Flower Club will meet on Wednesday, 27 November at Rising Brook Methodist Church, and what better way to remind us that Christmas is on its way than the ringing of bells!
There are all sorts of bells that ring for Christmas - church bells for the morning service, bells on the sleigh to remind us that Santa is on his way, hand bells that ring us through the Christmas carols, door bells that ring a Christmas theme and announce your Christmas guests have arrived and cow bells that ring when the cows are coming home. Jackie Page coming to bring us thoughts and memories of 'Christmases Past and Present' through the bells that are rung over the season.
All the flower arrangements created by Jackie will be the raffle prizes at the end of our meeting and, should your number come up, you will be able to choose which one to take home with you to decorate your house.
There will be a Christmas decorations stall, where you can bring and sell your unwanted decorations. We will also be introducing a Christmas Quiz – always very popular with a closing date in the New Year so that you and your family can ponder over it during the Christmas season.
Please come and enjoy a warm afternoon bringing friendship and flowers together with light seasonal refreshments, meet up with friends and catch up with what they are doing for Christmas and exchange your cards (save on the postage!). If there are any places available, book in for the Christmas lunch at Stafford College or the wreath workshop at Gayton. Our monthly newsletter will give you an update of what is going on within our club, or follow our Facebook or Instagram pages.
Members, friends and visitors are always welcome, visitors £8 including an afternoon of entertainment and light seasonal refreshments.
We meet at Rising Brook Methodist Church, between the Co-op shop and the high school (ST17 9DH) starting at 2.15 pm. There are lots of parking spaces so you won’t have far to walk and we are on a regular bus route.
