Craft club creates Remembrance display at their local church

The members of Daisy Craft club have been hard at work making a Remembrance Day display in the Methodist church where they meet.

The group have filled Wesley Methodist Church in Brierley Hill with poppies in memory of those who are serving and for those who have sacrificed their lives.

In the church there is a font that is in memory of Gunner Fred Rowley who died in 1917.

A spokesperson for the club, said: "We lost a valued member of our group this year who was the driving force behind our poppy display.

"Jenny Dunn made poppies all year round for the British Legion and we wanted to dedicate this year's display to her."

The Remembrance Service is at Wesley Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant, Quarry Bank, Brierley Hill on Sunday, 10 November at 10.30am. Everyone is welcome.
