Grandpa in My Pocket cast surprise Wolverhampton pupils
The world-renowned CBeebies TV hit Grandpa in my Pocket comes alive on stage at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.
This brand new Grandpa in My Pocket stage show titled 'Teamwork!' taps into themes at the heart of the TV series, such as the playful cross-generational relationship between grandparent and grandchild, but also exploits the uniquely intimate and creatively unconstrained qualities of theatre.
Nottingham Playhouse have produced a show which will delight and engage audiences through an ensemble storytelling technique with song, dance, physicality, puppetry and real interaction with the audience, who are invited to help to tell the story.
The show is directed by Rosamunde Hutt and designed by Nettie Scriven, with Musical Director Kate Edgar and Music Arranger Matt Dilley. Roman Stefanski is Puppetry Consultant.

Grandpa in My Pocket is one of the highest rating shows on CBeebies and has sold to over 104 territories worldwide. It has received a hat trick of BAFTA nominations and is winner of the BAFTA for best Children's show in Wales. The series is developed and produced by Adastra Creative with participation from Finance Wales.
Sunnysands Pirate, Horatio Heave Ho takes his friends on a pirate adventure in search of treasure. But when things go wrong, it's time for Grandpa to put on his magic Shrinking Cap and save the day. A brand new story, with the ensemble cast playing all the regular Sunnysands characters; children are bound to fall in love with Grandpa in my Pocket all over again.
