Up to 20 teachers and staff braved the cold to move snow from the grounds of the school in Hall Lane.

It was forced to close during the bad weather and a plea for help in clearing the site was launched by headteacher Chris Leach.

The determined staff travelled from across the region including Birmingham and Stafford to move the snow and were rewarded with bacon sandwiches and hot drinks.
