Wolves speedway team celebrated their title triumph at a civic reception.
Wolverhampton's mayor, Councillor Surjan Singh Duhra, hosted the event to mark the team's Elite League victory, which he said was a "magnificent achievement."
The Monmore men were crowned champions on a night of high drama at Swindon last month – their first league title for seven years and just one season after they finished bottom of the table.
Star rider Fredrik Lindgren said the team was delighted to be invited to the Civic Centre to mark their achievements.
He said: "It is the first time I have won the league with Wolverhampton and it is a great honour for us to be at the mayor's parlour. The whole season has been amazing for the whole team. We have had great support this year, even on our travels."
Team manager Peter Adams added: "This is the fourth time we have attended the mayor's paylor and it is a fitting end to the season." The civic reception came after the team was officially presented with the championship trophy at Monmore Green last week by Wolves manager Mick McCarthy.
