Nine-year-old Stacey, wearing a pink top, dark trousers and pumps is seen picking out snacks and a bottle of water, with Darren Walker on Friday afternoon.
Her body was later discovered in the cab of his lorry in a layby in Warmington, Northamptonshire and he was found hanged from a tree nearby.
Walker, aged 40, of Hickman Road, Bilston is believed to have strangled Stacey, the daughter of his partner Roxanne Lawrence, in the cab sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Northamptonshire Police released the footage, from Somerfield services, Peterborough in a bid to jog the memory of any of potential witnesses.
The Eaton Valley pupil and the man she called dad, are seen looking relaxed as they shop, in the images recorded at around 3pm.
Stacey is seen skipping as she follows Walker – dressed in black trousers and a black polo shirt – around an aisle and out of sight.
Police say Stacey might have been touched sexually before she died.
Detectives have already interviewed a woman who claims Walker made sexual advances towards her when she was 15.
And several of Walker's former partners have come forward and are now helping police with inquiries.
The alarm was raised after her mother Mrs Lawrence, aged 38, was unable to contact Walker on Saturday morning.
After she called his employers AF Blakemore & Son Ltd in Willenhall it was discovered his truck had not moved since it had been parked on Friday night.
