A Victorian mansion house was transformed into something from the swinging sixties as more than a thousand visitors turned out for a summer fun day.

Haden Hill House, in Barrs Road, Cradley Heath, was packed out with people making the most of the dry weather yesterday.

The sixties day featured live music, a vintage clothes sale and some old fashion fairground games.

Staff dressed up in the psychedelic clothes of the era, along with some members of the public who turned up in fancy dress.

Parks officer Amy Robinson said: "There are so many people here, it's brilliant.

"Everyone was outside listening to the music and the vintage clothes sale has been pretty popular as well."

She added: "We had a lot of people from local scooter clubs turn up so they have parked all the Lambrettas and Vespas which people seem quite interested in."

There was also a barbecue, a coconut shy and a 'catch the rat' game.
