Glorious sunshine made the day for Pelsall Carnival which saw thousands of revellers turn out for the event which is among the most popular summer extravaganzas in the region.
The event was declared open by The Apprentice star Paula Jones, who is from the area, and she also crowned this year's carnival queen radiant Samantha Woolley, aged 17, who smiled and waved at cheering onlookers during the parade on Saturday.
An estimated crowd of 10,000 made the most of the hot weather and swamped the showground at Pelsall Common for the annual event.
