Midland Metro has celebrated its 10th birthday in style – with bosses already looking forward to multi-million pound extensions to breathe new life into the service.

The four Black Country mayors joined Birmingham's Deputy Lord Mayor for a special trip from Birmingham to Wolverhampton yesterday. It culminated in a party at the city's St George's stop, complete with a birthday cake and jazz band.
The Midland Metro was the first street tramway to run in the West Midland for more than 40 years when it opened.
Wolverhampton mayor Councillor Surjan Singh Duhra said: "It's played a huge part in the economic regeneration of this area."
