Shoppers beat crunch at sales

The Express & Star team met the bargain hunters who joined sales queues in Wolverhampton.

With the credit crunch biting, many were hoping to snap up reduced goods in the sales.

Some had stood for long spells in the cold to be among the first through the doors.

Many came away with bags full of great discounts, with some up to 70 per cent off the original price.

But some were disappointed by the offers available in stores in Wolverhampton.
