Relatives of legendary Dudley footballer Duncan Edwards have hit out at the state of his statue in his hometown.
The bronze figure will be a focal point of a memorial service in memory of the Manchester United star who died in the Munich air disaster. But Keith Edwards, a cousin of the player, says the statue is an embarrassment and has called for a clean-up.
Mr Edwards says: "It is meant to be shiny bronze but it doesn't look that way to me. I think it needs a good cleaning up.
The anniversary of the Munich disaster is also being marked by an exhibition which opened at Dudley Museum and Art Gallery this month.
Video journalist Victoria Hoe went to check out the state of the statue and to guage the opinions of locals.
