When an angel rose at Lichfield Cathedral it sparked international interest.
Now the Lichfield Angel early medieval sculpture, discovered during a dig at the cathedral, is on display and enthralling visitors.
Video journalist Victoria Hoe visited the historic three-spired building to find out more.
Art and ecclesiastical historians claim the limestone carving is part of the original shrine to Saint Chad, the first Bishop of Lichfield who died in 672.
It is on permanent display following 18 months of expert inspection, analysis and conservation.
