Undisputed-chasing Lauren Price is looking forward to joining the likes of Muhammad Ali by fighting at Royal Albert Hall when she faces Natasha Jonas on Friday.

Welterweight Price puts her WBA title on the line against WBC and IBF holder Jonas in London.

The pair will headline the all-female card on the eve of International Women’s Day.

And a victory for either fighter could see them fight the winner of Mikaela Mayer and Sandy Ryan for an undisputed welterweight clash in the future.

“I believe I win on Friday and then I’ll be chasing undisputed this year,” Price told the PA news agency at a public workout.

“I respect Natasha and I rate her, it’s a great honour for me to be headlining an all-female card at the Royal Albert Hall where greats like Muhammad Ali have boxed so for me to be headlining is a massive moment and I’m going to enjoy it on Friday.

“It opens doors and different opportunities for me but at the end of the day I think I win the fight and it’ll be a great honour to share the ring with her as well.”

Olympic gold medallist Price, 30, is 10 years younger than 40-year-old Jonas.

“Regardless of age, I think I’m better,” she added.

“I’m in my prime, that plays a part but regardless of that, I am the better boxer. I’m going to do what I normally do, use my skill set, box and come out on top.”

Promoter Ben Shalom, though, hailed the ageless Jonas as the favourite for the fight.

He said: “I’ve always thought with Natasha that her age is going to show but it never does.

“I think she’s in the form of her life and I think she goes in the favourite.”

Caroline Dubois will also continue her bid to become undisputed when she faces South Korea’s Bo Mi Re Shin on the undercard.

The 24-year-old, who became world champion in December after Katie Taylor vacated her WBC title, can continue her unbeaten record with a win.

“It’s continuing the legacy, I want to be undisputed by the end of the year so I need to continue what I’m doing,” she said.
