Express & Star Christmas Toy Appeal: Gym works out best way to donate

A gym in the Black Country has made it even easier to donate to the Express & Star Christmas Toy Appeal.

Pulse Soccer and Fitness in Friar Park Road, Wednesbury, has backed the campaign by offering a collection bin in the gym's reception.

The sports facility, which includes 3G football pitches, a gym and dance studio, is urging members to back the appeal and donate to the growing number of toys we have already received.

Toys can be dropped off between the hours of 7am and 10pm from Monday to Thursday, 7am to 7pm on Friday and Saturday and then 9am to 9pm on Sunday.

The appeal, which was launched three weeks ago, has seen the Express & Star team up with local business Storage King, with branches across the Black Country.

We are asking readers to donate toys and gifts suitable for babies up to 18 year olds. The gifts must be new but without wrapping paper so that the charities are able to select the right gift to fit the recipient.

If the Wednesbury gym is not close enough, we have a number of drop-out points all over the Black Country. There are bins set up at Express & Star's main offices in Queen Street, Wolverhampton as well as Storage King depots in Station Street, Walsall, Unit 8 of Ionic Park in Birmingham New Road, Dudley and 133 Birmingham Road, West Bromwich. They can also be taken to Toys R Us in Oldbury.

The victims of the closure of the Caparo steel factories and children's hospital wards will benefit from our appeal. They will ensure the toys are given to children who are suffering illness or adversity this Christmas.

Call Pulse Soccer and Fitness on 0121 506 1100 or email info@pulsewednesbury.co.uk for further details or their drop off point.
