Niall Ennis scores the second goal for Wolves

Benny Ashley Seal and Niall Ennis scored two first-half penalties - conceded by Nathan Ferguson - who was sent off for picking up two yellow cards.

Seal bagged his second goal in the second half before Pedro Goncalves made it four with a top corner finish. Kyle Edwards finished off the proceedings scoring three minutes from time, but that was a consolation.

Both teams started energetically but Albion looked the more threatening early on.

Albion had a goal disallowed for offside before Kyle Edwards hit the crossbar with a thunderous effort from close range.

But Wolves upped the tempo and were awarded with a penalty after 17 minutes, when Nathan Ferguson brought down Niall Ennis in the penalty area. Oskar Burr had whipped in a dangerous low cross from the right which led to the foul, and Ferguson was shown a yellow card. Benny Ashley Seal stepped up and fired the ball straight down the centre, with Alex Palmer diving to his right.

Burr almost made it 2-0 for Wolves. He was picked out by Pedro Goncalves down the right with a searching long ball, before Burr controlled it, cut inside the box and lashed a shot at goal, which Edwards saved well to tip onto the crossbar.

But Wolves doubled their lead on 38 minutes after Albion conceded another penalty. And it was Ferguson again who committed the foul, receiving a second yellow card and was sent off.

Niall Ennis stepped up and shot into the bottom left corner, which Palmer saved well, but Ennis reacted quickest to the rebound and slotted home the rebound.

In the second half, Albion were a man down but still looked threatening in attack. Dan Meredith charged down the centre before playing Edwards down the right flank. Edwards then sent in a searching cross but it could only meet an Albion head which was a tame effort at goal.

Wolves continued their attacking play and were soon 3-0 up thanks to Seal, who bagged his second of the game on 60 minutes. Wolves broke fast up the pitch and Seal was played through down the left wing. He dribbled left and right, to make space for himself in the box, before firing high into the net from close range.

Wolves were not finished though and Goncalves, who for large parts of the game had been Wolves’ No.10 creator and playmaker, got his own goal with a fine finish. On 82 minutes, he received the ball near the edge of the box before firing into the top left corner.

But Albion came back with a consolation goal in the 87th minute, with Edwards tapping in a cross from close range to make it 4-1.
