Council hell bent on closing centre
I read in a recent E&S front page that the new plan for revamping the leisure centres in the area has now changed and it’s proposed that Dudley Leisure Centre will now be demolished and the site sold off.
Firstly I would argue that there is no need to spend £22 million – it would cost a fraction of this to revamp all the centres. I visit the Dudley Centre every week and everyone I talk to say they are quite happy with the facilities.
The council seem hell bent on demolishing the Dudley site. I would like to know what the site would be used for in the future (or is there some hidden agenda?).
