Bjorn Sigurdarson on his way back to Wolves
Forgotten striker Bjorn Sigurdarson is set to return to training with Wolves within days – but he can't play until January.
The £2.4million forward has finished his season-long loan at Norwegian champions Molde, but can't play for anyone else until the transfer window re-opens in the New Year, under the terms of his loan.
Boss Kenny Jackett failed to bolster his strikeforce in the loan window after Northampton's Ivan Toney failed a medical.
Nouha Dicko has been injured, Leon Clarke is out of favour and Danny Graham is one game into a loan to January.
Jackett hinted the 23-year-old Sigurdarson, who has 18 months left on his contract, will continue to remain on the fringes.
"He's not available or can't play for anybody else until January, but he'll be back in the next few days and training here," said the head coach.
"I'll talk to him because I don't know where he sees his future - whether he seeks another go in England or whether he wants to go back abroad.
"He can't make that move until January 1 anyway, and we'll certainly talk to him about that.
"He's played some games - maybe not as many as he'd have liked - and had a hamstring injury, but he's physically fit."
Jackett hinted the former Lillestrom frontman will be with the first team squad or the Under-21s, rather than the outcasts in 'group three'.
"We'll treat those guys with every respect, keep them fit, keep them ticking over, whether it's with the first-team group or perhaps the 21s," said Jackett.
"Without a doubt, I certainly have an open mind on those players."
Kevin Doyle is set to rejoin the main group when he returns to Wolves in January after his loan at Crystal Palace expires.
"I think Doyle will either be with the first team group or the 21s," said Jackett.
"I'll consider it then but I don't think he'll be apart from it necessarily."
Meanwhile, Nouha Dicko is set to rejoin training on Monday after Jackett ruled him out of today's clash at Brentford.
"We won't take a risk, he won't feature at Brentford," he said. "We're looking for him to train on Monday."
Jackett reassured fans on-loan Sunderland striker Danny Graham will get among the goals for Wolves.
"I've got confidence he's a good player and can score goals for us," said the boss.
"He'll certainly improve as he gets games - there's a lot there and he can contribute very well for us.
"But making sure we get the right balance around him is the key and we've got to get the right service to him.
"I'd like to (play two up front) at the right time - that's something I'll have to consider in terms of getting the best out of him."
