The 22-year-old ballwinner has failed to make the squad for the last three games.

Davis has been forced to kick his heels behind in-form duo Kevin McDonald and Jack Price, as well as Lee Evans and Dave Edwards in the midfield pecking order.

The last of his 17 league appearances came as a substitute for Edwards in the 2-0 win against Preston on January 11.

Wolves have only lost one of the League matches he's played, but the Smethwick-born enforcer hasn't made a League start in 14 since the 1-0 victory at Notts County on November 16.

But head coach Jackett believes Davis, who has made 60 appearances for Wolves since a Premier League debut against Blackburn in March 2012, will challenge again.
