The 21-year-old's initial spell with the Iron came to an end after Saturday's 4-1 win at Walsall, but the Baggies have sanctioned a longer stay.

"Liam has been a really good player for us which is why I wanted to extend his deal for the rest of the season," Iron boss Mark Robins said this afternoon.

"He has done really well for us so it is very pleasing to keep him here."

O'Neil has played six games for the Lincolnshire club, scoring once.
