I was one of many Albion fans who have been aboslutely gobsmacked by the club sacking boss Roberto Di Matteo today.
In fact, I was in my car when I heard the news on the radio, I very nearly ended up crashing!
Once I had picked myself up off the floor, I called Jarrod Hill - Albion blogger for Expressandstar.com - and we tried to make sense of it all.
We don't sack managers you see - Di Matteo is only the fourth boss we have had in nearly 11 years.
And I can't imagine his future would have been riding on winning at Premier League title chasers Manchester City yesterday.
If he had walked out, I could probably understand his departure, but we are not a club that traditionally show people the door.
So it's little wonder mine and Bomber's reaction was of pure surprise but we came to the same conclusion - the club must absolutely have someone lined up to take charge.
If they haven't, this move is little short of suicidal at what is a critical stage of our fight against relegation from the Premier League.
It's a shame for Di Matteo, who was showing the hallmarks of being a top class Premier League boss and who could have thought this was going to happen when we were celebrating beating Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier this season.
But the club have made their move and now they have to stick by it.
It's either incredibly brave - or incredibly stupid!
One thing is for sure - we are going to find out.
