Wigan’s Will Grigg wrote the latest chapter in his career when he scored the game’s only goal to eliminate Manchester City from the FA Cup and take his team into the competition’s quarter-finals.

Having made his professional debut as a substitute in Walsall’s 0-0 draw at Cheltenham in December 2008, Grigg had to wait almost two years to make his first start, incidentally in the FA Cup, against Torquay in November 2010.
