Albion
West Brom striker Victor Anichebe received a text message from his former club Everton wishing him good luck ahead of yesterday's game against Liverpool. The text was from Everton's massuer which encouraged Anichebe to "do the Reds" and help Everton out. Anichebe scored the equalising goal.
Villa
Randy Lerner has not put the club up for sale, according to chief executive Paul Faulkner.
Genk striker Jelle Vossen is still on Villa's radar as the club consider a summer bid for him.
Meanwhile, Shay Given is expected to return to Villa after failing to extend his loan deal at Middlesbrough. However, the Football League loan window opens soon and Given may yet secure a loan extension.
Walsall
Former Walsall loanee Sam Johnstone has completed a loan deal to join Championship side Doncaster Rovers. The Manchester United youngster has signed a four-week emergency loan deal.
