And to add another Parrys International Wolves twist they were watched by club legend Sam Ermolenko, at Perris Raceway, in California.

The duo edged out American solo champion Billy Janniro and former Edinburgh racer Max Ruml to secure the title. Becker said: “This means a lot and I’m so pleased to win it, it’s a perfect way to set up for the season in Britain.

“To be paired up with Broc was perfect, we talked about where we should ride in certain situations on the track and I’m so pleased to have a familiar face like him with me at Wolverhampton this year.”

Nicol added: “Being paired up with Luke was perfect for me, especially as we are together at Wolverhampton.

“We had a couple of struggles midway through, but we got over it and it’s awesome to take this title.”

Wolverhampton will host their press and practice session on Monday, March 23, with the media session expected to start at 5.30pm followed by track action from 7pm.

And the following evening the full team and management will meet the fans at the ever-popular pre-season talk-in.

This event will once again be held at the Cleveland Arms Sports Pub on Stow Heath Lane close to Monmore from 7.30pm.

Their season will kick off on Monday, March 30, for the Monmore Individual with their first official fixture on Monday, April 6, at home against Premiership newcomers Sheffield in the Supporters’ Cup.

Wolves then head to Peterborough on Thursday, April 23, for their opening league fixture before returning to Monmore Green on Monday, April 27, for their first home league match against reigning champions Swindon.
