Wolverhampton Wolves look to get season back on track

The Parrys International Wolves have lost their last six Premiership fixtures - including consecutive defeats at Monmore Green.

But a switch in riding order will hopefully contribute to turning Wolves’ fortunes around as they look to get their play-off bid back on track.

There’s a debut for flying Aussie Ryan Douglas and he’ll be in the opening pairing alongside skipper Rory Schlein who is promoted to the No.1 position.

That means Sam Masters moves to No.5 and Wolves’ strength at reserve looks even more powerful with former British Under-21 Champion Kyle Howarth joining impressive American Luke Becker at the opposite end of the team.

It’s been an eventful week for Howarth who was given the green light to resume racing on Tuesday following a drugs test analysis - and he’s now desperate to play a big part for Wolves.

“I’m really looking forward to being back on the bike because it’s been the week from hell for me,” Howarth said.

“The signing of Ryan (Douglas) moves him into the team and me down to reserve; that gives me the chance to get some extra rides in a meeting if I’m going well.

“We know we need to win against Swindon and if I can play my part by scoring some big points then even better.”

Swindon are led by 2017 World Champion Jason Doyle and bring in entertainer Danny Ayres to guest at reserve.
